Day Three

Sorry about the delay in the post for day three, we got back late last night after dinner and I started preparing for the fourth day and first day of competition.

Well, today was the last day of practices for the Women's Cadet Foil and Men's Cadet Sabre teams and everything was going rather well. Nick (the other athletic trainer) split team coverage today and were able to steel away for some personal time. Nick went with a couple of the coach's to the semifinals of the Irish Cup a two local soccer teams were playing rather close to the hotel. I was planning on going to the Belfast Zoo, however I decided to take a nap before and didn't wake up early enough to make it there in time.

We both finished our day early and decided to have dinner at a decent time (Or so we thought). Apparently all the local, or most of the local, pub stop serving food at about 8:00pm and that is when we left the hotel. We walked around Belfast City Hall on the way down to City Centre to see what was open. Apparently that is where all the young kids hang out and smoke. I was rather funny. After walking around and having no luck with dinner, we finally saw a Chili's that was open in the Victoria Street Mall. There was also a Maggiano's, TGI Fridays, McDonald's and Pizza Hut and they were all open until 11pm.

After we ate we started getting ready for the first day of competition. And turned in about 12am or so. I had a 6am wake-up call for goiing over to the venue with the Men's Cadet Sabre team. If should be a long day tomorrow.
